At 1346 a call was received from Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service, requesting a boat attend a report of a woman trapped in the River Carron near to Fankerton.
1348 – Willie McMartin mobile to Boness Fire Station to uplift boat. Anne Marie Macdonald contacting team members for crew duty.
1358 – Willie McMartin in attendance at Boness where the duty watch had the boat ready to hitch up.
1403 – Boat loaded and ready to go. Fire Control contacted for update and full address. Reported as ¼ – ½ mile past Strathcarron Hospice.
The woman has been located but is on the wrong side of the River and the boat is still required to attend. Anne Marie Macdonald informed of update and will inform remainder of crew who will travel directly to incident.
1407 – Robert Barrie in attendance at Boness and now mobile to incident.
1428 – In attendance at incident. From the O.I.C. please stand by. Attempting to lower a ladder into the gorge and effect rescue from bank.
1445 – James Livingstone in attendance.
1450 – Paul Baxter in attendance
1455 – The woman has been rescued and is now in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. IRC can stand down.
1535 – Boat returned to Boness Fire Station.
1543 – Crew dismissed.
