A good if somewhat cold day was spent at the Emergency Services Day at Helix Park. Despite the cold weather and sometimes heavy showers it was a well attended day with lots of children on school holidays enjoying the day. A lot of interest in our ambulance and the boats. Hopefully next year the weather will be better.
The Emergency Services Day is completely free of charge and suitable for the whole family.
It was full of exciting displays from first aiders and included some water rescues from the fire and ambulance services.
The day at Helix Park also included:
- Police Scotland
- Scottish ambulance service
- Scottish Fire and Rescue
- 4th Battalion Parachute regiment
- British Red cross
- Mountain Rescue
- And many more!
