A call was received from Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service at approx 08.15hrs stating that they required a boat possibly to ferry men and equipment on Loch Lomond where a fire was reported in a domestic dwelling on the island.

The request for IRC to attend had been made by Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service as the location was within their area.

The call was received at 0813 from Service Control. The 3 members mobilised to Boness Fire Station to uplift the boat. The team departed Boness at 0835 and proceeded to the rendezvous point at Balmaha slip, arriving at 0930.

A call was placed to Service Control to establish what the Officer In Charge of the incident required.

As the Luss Rescue Boat and the Park Ranger Safety Boat were in attendance, (both based on the Loch), the IRC craft was not launched but held on stand by.

Following time for the domestic fire to be extinguished the team was stood down and returned to base.

The boat was returned to Boness and the team departed for homes at 1240. A total of 126 miles was covered during the incident.
